About this venue:

Vivid Stage's home is at the Oakes Center, a 15-minute walk downhill from the shops, restaurants and train station in downtown Summit.

Entrance is on Russell Place. Parking lot is behind the theater at 20 Ashwood Ave.

At our theater every seat is a good one. There's only a total of nine curving rows with plenty of space between them for entering and exiting. The auditorium is completely wheelchair accessible. During the matinée shows the stained glass is an added visual treat. Our spacious and comfortable lobby is a pleasant place to relax before the show or during intermission, when snacks and beverages are available for purchase.

NEW PLAY READINGS: EVERY WEDNESDAY DURING MAY

May 4th, May 11th, May 18th, & May 25th

Vivid Stage's “Meet the Artist” series is a forum that showcases new theatrical works. The series provides audiences an opportunity to experience new shows and participate in discussions with playwrights, directors and actors.

The series’s goal is to expose the adult public to the evolution of a theatrical presentation and to give the playwright valuable feedback to be used in the development of the play.
