McCarter Theatre Center is searching for an enthusiastic arts administrator to join our team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager plays an integral role in McCarter’s daily operations. Primary responsibilities include: supervision of company management; theater series contract administration; coordinating building maintenance and custodial schedules with Princeton University; oversight of the company calendar; and administrative support for the GM.
Candidates should be highly collaborative; possess excellent interpersonal skills; employ deductive reasoning and creative thinking as tools for problem solving; demonstrate careful attention to detail; exercise discretion with confidential information; and have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. Relevant previous experience in non-profit theater and a solid understanding of union agreements (AEA, SDC, USA) are necessary. Proficiency in MS Office is required; familiarity with Tessitura and/or ArtsVision is a plus.
