The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is seeking an experienced Business Manager. The position is responsible for managing the daily accounting and financial control functions of the Theatre. Working with the senior staff and the Finance Committee of the Board, the Business Manager helps provide financial insight, short-term and long-term financial strategies, and works with the leadership team to ensure ongoing sustainability. Other responsibilities include: budgeting, quarterly forecasts, preparation for annual audit, working with the staff on financial reporting to funders, and maintaining strong internal cost control. Experience with payroll processing, AR, AP, pension, and insurance payments, and cash flow management is a must. This position provides monthly reports to the Board of Directors. Reporting directly to the Artistic Director and General Manager, the Business Manager works collaboratively with the entire staff to maintain a healthy financial environment. Several years' experience in a financial management position at a non-profit organization is preferred. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is required. Must have excellent communication skills and a willingness to be a part of a collaborative team.
