Many, many thanks to everyone who supported our sold out Curtain Call event on October 22nd at The Asbury Hotel!

Special guests that evening included New Jersey Secretary of State Tahesha Way, the Junior Pros of The Lakehouse Music Academy in Asbury Park, and Gayle Danley - a former national and international poetry slam champion.

This year, the education leaders from our 33 non-profit professional member theatres were celebrated with Awards of Excellence for their innovative programs and their impact on their communities. In addition, Board President Larry Capo received the Star Award for 37 years of leadership and dedication to the Alliance.

We are very grateful for the support of our sponsors, especially title sponsor Mills + Schnoering Architects, committee co-chairs Linda Kinsey and Don Ehman, the event committee, the volunteers, and everyone who donated to the silent auction. A big round of applause goes to Joe Benincasa from The Actors Fund for the special raffle experience to see the new production of King Kong on Broadway.

Curtain Call proceeds will help strengthen the Alliance’s critical role as a resource for the state’s theatre and arts community and advance the Alliance’s programs to benefit seniors, children, people with disabilities, and the theatre-going public.
