Veronica with her new canine companion in the cellars of Roscommon House in Ireland
This week, we caught up with East Lynne Theater Company's Board Member, Veronica Scutaro. Here's what she had to say.
1. What lessons has your work life taught you?
My work life is financial services. I have learned that there is no activity too risky and no person too silly. Someone will always surprise me.
2. What are your goals for the future?
To be a more dedicated supporter of the performing arts.
3. Do you have any hobbies or talents outside the arts?
Since I have no artistic talent, I make my contribution to East Lynne Theater Company on the business side. My desire to support the arts is what I offer. I am a fledgling pursuer of birding (pun intended!), a beginner learner of the fine work of hand needle arts, and a Jane Austen nut (aka a Janeite).
4. Got a favorite quote? Why?
Ask the animals and they will teach you. Job 12:7. I think that the observation of nature teaches me what I need to know about respecting the planet and respecting all other creatures including fellow humans.
5. What do you love about New Jersey theatre?
The quality of the performances, the dedication to the art of acting and production, the creativity and the pure awe I get from watching these men and women who have so finely honed their craft.
