Women in NJ Theatre

Over the course of the past two months, the world has witnessed millions of women gathering together to advocate for equality, inclusion, and diversity. These efforts have created an unforgettable, record-breaking impression in history books forever. A story that must be told.

March is recognized as Women's History Month. To celebrate the impact of women's contributions to society, New Jersey Theatre Alliance will recognize five phenomenal NJ female playwrights in a series of blog posts. We will ask our featured playwrights why women must continue to tell their stories.

Our spotlight will shine on Chisa Hutchinson, Nicole Pandolfo, Emilly Mann, Pia Wilson, and Nikkole Salter. Each of these fabulous playwrights have participated in the NJPAC Stage Exchange

About NJPAC Stage Exchange:

In 2014, New Jersey Performing Arts Center launched the Stage Exchange series, "NJStageX", where cutting-edge new play development meets insightful community dialogue. Tapping into the success of the program, in 2015 NJPAC announced an inaugural commissioning program as part of the Stage Exchange. In the summer of 2015, with guidance from New Jersey Theatre Alliance, NJPAC worked with three partner theatres to identify three emerging New Jersey playwrights and commission them to create new works relevant to today's Garden State.

Be sure to visit our website weekly to read each blog post as we celebrate these women and their contibution s to Jersey Made Theatre. Also follow us on Facebook and Twitter for all NJTA updates.
