Premiere Stages is proud to announce Kean University alumnus Megan Hoche (Class of ‘08, '10) is the winner of the Bauer Boucher Playwriting Alumnus Award.
In Forever Mom by Megan Hoche, Linda is a full-time caregiver to her adult son, Kevin, who has intellectual disabilities. With Kevin consuming her days, things like travel, relaxation, and even aging seem like luxuries that are out of her reach. But, when a family member offers up a change, Linda begins to consider an alternative life for the first time—one without Kevin. With this decision comes panic, some unexpected visitors, and the occasional reckless daydream as the family considers a transition ahead.
The Bauer Boucher Award winners virtual readings are free and will be performed via Zoom. A short Q&A with the playwrights will follow each reading.
