The Theater Project is presenting Three Plays in Three Weeks this fall. This mini-season of dramedy and comedy begins with Teacher in the House.
A one-woman show, from Susan Jeremy, who created this show based on her experiences as a teacher in the New York City school system. She instructs students in their homes because it isn't possible for them to attend school.
This play is like a television crime series with true, funny and touching stories of urban survival. The stories tell of teaching a seventh grade health class, and how to overcoming a serious illness.
The teacher is inspired by the children. Ryan, is a 7 year old boy with ADD; Rebecca is waiting for a new kidney, and Angela, is a paralyzed teen who is always smiling.
The actress plays over twelve characters with great skill in this fast paced, thought provoking tale.
You'll laugh hysterically and be deeply moved. Jeremy’s characters are sharply observed and portrayed with tenderness, candor, and humor.
