The Theater Project is presenting Three Plays in Three Weeks this fall. This mini-season includes Christopher Durang’s comedic satires of Tennessee Williams’ beloved characters.
For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls, Durang’s parody of Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie, finds Amanda’s overly sensitive son, Lawrence, too shy to leave home or even to get a job; he's completely devoted to his glass cocktail stirrer collection.
You'll laugh endlessly at this re-envisioning of an American classic.
And Desire, Desire, Desire is a satire which tells the story of Blanche DuBois. At the end of her rope, she is stuck with sloppy Stanley Kowalski. He keeps yelling for Stella who left six years ago. Big Daddy and Maggie from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof drop in, too.
These short plays are great fun. Absurdities keep coming, as do the laughs.
