The Paterson Performing Arts Development Council (PPADC) is accepting entries for its Show Me The Monologue Playwriting Competition. The winning playwright whose work is chosen will receive a main stage theater production as part of the lineup in the Hamilton Arts Festival 2022. As PPADC’s playwright-in-residence over a six-month period, developmental support includes a $500 stipend, dramaturge, director, casting, stage manager, tech operators, and set design. More than one play may be submitted. However, plays submitted should not have had a full stage production, other readings or workshops are acceptable. We are seeking playwrights who have not had their work fully produced before or may not have the resources or means to have their work developed.
