DIRECTIONS

Submission Information

Registration for the 2025 Combined Auditions is now closed and there is a significant waitlist. We do not accept materials via email. No calls please.

Due to the high volume of submissions, AEA Actors receive a slot on a first-come-first-served basis. Non-AEA actors are chosen by a lottery system. At this time, all actors who received a slot have been notified. If you did not receive confirmation of your participation and time slot, we hope you will submit again next year

Any outreach related to combined auditions must be sent to Auditions@njtheatrealliance.org. No Calls.

Please Note:

To defray the cost of producing this event, NON-EQUITY ACTORS will pay a $25 fee to participate.

Headshots and resumes will be placed in a virtual book that will be distributed to theatre representatives attending.

We do not accept self-tapes/virtual auditions

All of New Jersey’s professional theatres are equal opportunity employers. Actors of color and actors with disabilities are encouraged to submit. Actors based in New Jersey or with access to New Jersey housing are particularly encouraged to submit.

What to Prepare

EQUITY Actors have 5 minutes. NON-EQUITY Actors have 3 minutes. Two contrasting monologues are preferred: one contemporary, one classic; one comedic, one dramatic. You can also perform one monologue if it represents you best. Alternatively, actors may choose to deliver one monologue and a 32-bar cut of a song if singing. Please indicate on your registration form if you intend to sing.

The Alliance does not accept phone calls or emails about material choices, and cannot provide guidance on the subject. You know best what will showcase your talent. We do not accept self-tapes/virtual auditions.

About the Combined Auditions

Every year, over two days, we hold auditions for 120 Equity and 120 Non-Equity performers. Member theatres interested in seeking new local talent for their upcoming seasons attend.

Registration takes place online, and due to a high volume of responses, audition slots are chosen through a lottery system. This is a fantastic opportunity to be seen by multiple theatres at once. Representatives from our member theatres will follow up with performers directly if they are interested in working with them.
