Hudson Theatre Works is committed to ensemble collaboration as well as artistic risk through its work with its permanent company, guest artists, partner institutions and the surrounding community. It is dedicated to a rugged aesthetic which seeks to tell stories, both new and old, classic and contemporary, that reflect our lives, relationships and world today. Hudson Theatre Works’ primary focus is in bringing a living theatre community to the area of North Jersey through performance, outreach and theatre arts instruction.

Hudson Theatre Works was founded by Karen Brady, Gregory Erbach and Frank Licato as a non-profit, 501(c)3, professional Equity theater, in 2012.
Hudson Theatre Works was recently nominated as the best place to see a new play or world premiere, by New Jersey Stages, and it’s well known PlayWorks series of new play readings, has sent plays on to the New York Solo Festival, the Penguin Theater, the Walnut Street Theater, and Theater 21 in Dublin.
We have been named as one of the top organizations in Hudson County, N.J., by the Hudson Reporter and have built audiences on both the New Jersey and New York sides of the river.

Our low-price tickets make it possible for everyone to experience first-rate live performances on a regular basis.
