River Union Stage is dedicated to providing a home for a professional theater of diverse artists who engage, enlighten, and entertain the Delaware River Valley community.

The productions we bring to the stage – from Shakespeare to plays yet unwritten – will examine the human condition and embrace its diversity and universality in a highly professional, creative, and always entertaining way.

​We will explore challenging new art forms, new classics, and new expressions of established classics, providing a forum for artists of different disciplines to come together in a unique and vital collaboration.

Educational Offerings

River Union Stage’s Educational Mission is to provide both children and adults a forum for creativity and a playground for the imagination. Through a diverse offering of artistic disciplines, we will examine the human condition by holding “as ’twere, the mirror up to nature.” Our hope is to foster not only a deeper appreciation for the arts, but also of the world in which we live.

“Friend of the Theater – Theater for a Friend” Program

Can’t make the show? You can still make a difference!

For any RUS event that requires an admission fee, our “Friend of the Theater – Theater for a Friend” program gives theater patrons the opportunity to make a difference by gifting seats to folks who could use a break, a smile, or a belly laugh.  Patrons can purchase tickets to be given to families who are otherwise unable to afford a night at the theater.

As tickets become available, RUS will distribute them with the assistance of local charity organizations. When you make your ticket purchase, simply select the “Theater for a Friend” category from the drop-down menu.
