The Vivid Stage professional ensemble of actors builds community with our audience by sharing contemporary, life-affirming stories that challenge, energize and entertain.

We believe in the essential goodness of people and the power of live performance to connect people through our shared humanity.

We expose theatergoers of all ages to ideas and lives like and unlike their own, with the intention of awakening their imaginations and creating empathy for others.

We deepen the experience of all our patrons with personal contact through receptions, talkbacks, and interactive programs.

Education Offerings

Vivid Stage offers educational and outreach programs for students from middle school through seniors. We offer a three-week summer camp for students grades 5-12 and improv classes throughout the year for students aged 18-100. We also offer outreach workshops and performances for non-profit organizations, residences, schools, and businesses. Vivid instructors also offer public speaking workshops and private coaching.
