Accessible Parking

Accessible parking for MPAC is on-street. Arrangements have been made with the local parking authority to set aside a number of spaces in front of and adjacent to the theatre. Metered parking is marked for accessibility parking starting two hours prior to the start of the performance and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Be advised that the meters are monitored and should be paid, if required.

Accessible Restrooms

Both the main lobby and balcony lobby restrooms include accessible stalls and fixtures.

Assistive Listening

Assistive listening devices (ALDs) are available in the box office free of charge. We ask that you leave a driver’s license or other identification as a deposit. Sign language interpreting and open-captioning available with a minimum of two weeks advance notice. Advance copies of scripts or synopses are available with a minimum 1-week advance notice of the performance.

Audience Accessibility Services

MPAC offers several sensory friendly performances throughout the season, which are designed to create a supportive, welcoming experience for people with sensory sensitivities. These performances feature modulated sound and light levels and a relaxed environment where the audience is free to talk, vocalize, and leave and re-enter the seating area. Elevator Access

Although seating in the balcony is not wheelchair accessible, the Balcony lobby is accessible via an elevator by door #4, to the right of the concessions stand.

Number of Wheelchair-Only Seating Locations

There are 10 wheelchair locations throughout the orchestra level. Some of the locations in the orchestra can assist two wheelchairs, and companion seating is available. Persons who use wheelchairs and are able to transfer may request an aisle seat when purchasing tickets. Some seats are equipped with removable armrests.

Wheelchair Accessibility

The theatre is accessible by ramps and curb cut-ins. The box office is fully accessible, the main lobby is all one level and barrier-free, and aisles on the orchestra level are barrier free. MPAC also has two wheelchairs and two special accommodation chairs on hand for patron usage.
