The Axelrod Performing Arts Center, under the leadership of Artistic Director Andrew DePrisco, is the only professional regional theater in Central NJ that focuses on producing original productions of musicals–new, current, and classics–employing established and up-and-coming Broadway artists to direct, design, and choreograph. In total, we typically present nine fully staged productions each year, including musicals, dance-musicals, youth musicals, opera, and ballet. We are also a multi-disciplinary arts center, offering concerts, film series, and art shows. Beginning in 2023, the Axelrod PAC will be producing programming at both its main-stage theater in Deal Park and at the new Vogel Theater at Bell Works in Holmdel. The Axelrod is also the home of the Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater, Monmouth County’s only professional ballet company, directed by Gabriel Chajnik, and the Axelrod Performing Arts Academy, located at Bell Works.

Education Offerings
The Axelrod Performing Arts Academy (APAA), located at Bell Works, offers classes 12 months a year in arts education (ballet, dance, musical theater, acting) to students 5 and up (Primary through adults). The Axelrod Contemporary Ballet Theater, in collaboration with APAA, offers a summer workshop, including a fully staged production. APAA produces musicals in the fall and spring, with auditions and separate enrollment.
