Epic Actors’ Workshop brings together the gems of South Asian Theater that are interspersed all over the United States through an annual theater festival. The New Jersey Repertory Company was founded in 1997 by SuzAnne and Gabor Barabas. The theater’s mission is to develop and produce new plays and to make a lasting contribution to the American Stage. Over two decades NJ Rep has produced 140 plays of which 125 have been world premieres. The theater has the additional distinction of having had many of its plays produced by other theaters around the country totaling over 200 subsequent productions in the U.S. and overseas. In 2012 and 2018 NJ Rep was the recipient of a National Theater Company Grant from the American Theater Wing that sponsors the annual Tony Awards for Broadway in recognition of its contribution to the repertoire of the American Stage. Only seven theaters have had this distinction. In addition, the theater has presented over 400 developmental readings as well as introduced 136 new works through its Theatre Brut Short-Play Festivals that focus on visionary and avant-garde works.

The Ritz Theatre Company has been providing live, quality theater performances to New Jersey communities for nearly four decades. The Ritz Theatre building, located at 915 White Horse Pike in Haddon Township, is listed on both the New Jersey and National Registries of Historic Places. The historic Ritz Theatre opened in September 1927 as a vaudeville movie house; the 346-seat Ritz is the only producing theater in the area still resplendent in its original decor. The Ritz is unequivocally and wholeheartedly devoted to featuring and celebrating a diversity of voices and visions not just on their stage, but beyond. The Ritz presently reaches patrons from Camden, Burlington and Gloucester Counties, but also from Philadelphia and its suburbs, the rest of New Jersey and Delaware.

Surflight Theatre produces musicals and plays through out the year. Surflight hires a resident company of Actors and Technicians. Most of their Company is with them for several consecutive shows. Surflight also produces a selection of children’ favorites in their Children’s Theatre and multiple Concerts and Events each season along with several Comedy Nights. Surflight also runs Summer Theatre Programs for young people ages 3-17. Show Place Ice Cream Parlour with a singing waitstaff is adjacent to the theatre. Since they are in a Tourism Destination on Long Beach Island, their patrons come from all 21 Counties in New Jersey as well as 47 other states and 13 foreign countries.
